ANNOUNCEMENT FROM DANBURY PROPERTY MANAGEMENT:

We are continuing to monitor the unfolding of events not only in our County, but in our Province and Nation.  Based upon recommendations from a Corporate lawyer, the Condominium Authority of Ontario (CAO) and the local health unit, we wish to update all Owners/Residents on the following information relating to Condominium Corporation's:

Buildings that have recreational facilities, such as gyms, pools, party rooms, etc. - those areas will be closed until further notice.

Buildings that are high-rise in nature - the cleaning staff has assured us they are using proper disinfectant (as they have in the past) and are increasing the number of times they are cleaning common area surfaces that are touched by multiple people such as elevator buttons, door handles, etc.

Monthly Board meetings may be cancelled, held by email or teleconference and this will be dealt with on a building by building basis and communicated directly with the Board of Directors of each Condominium that we manage.

If your Corporation has an upcoming AGM, the CAO has advised the AGM can be postponed until the health crisis has passed, and those Corporation's affected will be notified individually.

We expect some non-essential services to be discontinued or slowed due to the virus and the impact it is having on the industry, and ask that all Owners/Residents exercise patience in non-essential work that may need to be done in their units.

With regards to Danbury Property Management operations, we will continue to operate as normal, unless mandated by the Government to work from home, however, in an effort to protect our staff we have put the following procedures into place effective immediately:

If you have been travelling outside of Canada, we ask that you do not enter our office unless you have completed the mandatory self-quarantine period of 14 days.

If you are sick or feel under the weather, please do not enter our office.

Please call ahead to schedule an appointment if you need to see a Property Manager or pick up any front entry door keys, elevator keys, etc.  Walk Ins may not be accommodated.

Non-essential visits by Danbury staff to the buildings will be discontinued during this time.

IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING COMMON FEE/RENTAL/DEPOSIT PAYMENTS:

Effective immediately, Danbury will not be accepting cash payments, only cheque or money order.  If those options are not available, we will be accepting e-transfers for all common fee/rental or housing charges payment from today until April 15, 2020.  If you currently are enrolled in pre-authorized debit or you have given us post-dated cheques - nothing changes with regards to the first of the month payment.  If you wish to e-transfer your payment, the following guidelines must be adhered to:

  • Send e-transfer to info@danburypropertymanagement.com

  • In the notes of the e-transfer, include your name, Corporation number (or Property you live at), and address or the payment will be returned to you

  • Send a separate email indicating what your password is.  If we don't receive the password and all the information above, we will return the payment.

We are continuing to monitor the Health Canada website, as well as the City of Windsor websites and communications with respect to developments in the ongoing cold and flu season, including the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19).  If you become ill and are presenting symptons associated to Covid-19 please contact your health care provider for care and advice.  This is especially important if you have recently been travelling.

Once again, we ask that Owners and Residents who suspect they may be infected or have been diagnosed with Covid-19 are requested to self-quarantine and avoid using common element facilities (if applicable) such as any Party Room, Gym, Swimming Pool, Lockers, etc. during the quarantine period.  While this may not necessarily apply to the townhome style of units we manage, we still ask that everyone take precautions when in public if they suspect they may be infected.  Those that are diagnosed must call or email Danbury immediately to advise of this.

Secondly, we will be sending out email blasts to our buildings and if you would like your email to be included in this list, please email - info@danburypropertymanagement.com and indicate your Building and unit number so we can add you to this list.  We suggest that all residents limit guests visiting their units, unless absolutely necessary and if you know of a neighbour that can use assistance in grocery shopping or supplies to extend your help if you feel comfortable.  By coming toegether and protecting each other during this time, we can ensure the spread of this virus impacts us minimally.

We thank all in the Condomium Community for their assistance and care during this time.
